Custom Built Z-Scale Layout
Introducing custom built layouts by our professional builder Torsten. This is a handcrafted, z scale model inspired by the charming Bavarian village of Ramsau. The Noch 'Serfaus' preformed layout (measuring 21" x 16" x 5-1/2") was used as a base, but nearly every aspect of the Serfaus terrain has been modified to include certain elements of the picturesque German village. Marklin track circles its way past five painted and weathered alpine structures, including a cemetary through a re-positioned tunnel and over two bridges that span a mountain stream. The landscape is adorned with fifty-five spruce trees, evoking the lush greenery of the Alps mountain range. Adding life to this enchanting layout, you'll find eighteen figurines and six miniature vehicles that recreate three distinct scenes: church-goers strolling in the parking lot, friends embarking on a mountain hike, and travelers waiting at the station. At the touch of a button on the Noch controller four exterior and three interior lights illuminate the village in a warm, soft glow.
The case (23-3/4" x 18-1/2" x 6-1/2") that holds the layout is built for transportation and storage but can also be used to elevate the layout for display. Its rich wood tones exude the rustic charm of recycled materials and the woodworking craft. A provided AC adapter plugs directly into the Noch speed controller for power and operation. The space beneath the layout offers storage for rolling stock without containers. Please note that the track curvature has a 145mm (5-3/4") radius and cannot accommodate long locomotives or rolling stock.
About the artist: Torsten Louis has recently joined the team at Reynauld's Euro Imports as an in-house modeler. A seasoned professional with over 30 years of experience as a scenographer in the entertainment industry, Torsten is now channeling his expertise towards catering to a discerning clientele by contributing to Reynauld's custom layouts, and crafting N and Z scale dioramas as collector's pieces.
**There will be additional shipping charge due to the weight and size of the layout. It will range between $200-$450 based on location.
